Some day trading tips on NSE, India…professional advise please…..?

Monday Sep 14, 2009

I started nifty intraday trading on July 3, 2009 with a capital of one lac rupees. Today, my capital is reduced to 40,000. I have to cover my losses by end of August 2009 in the same market. Should I try put / call option? How does this put / call option trading happens? please advise

This is not a safe game.
My advice to a new entrant will be buy best 5 shares in India & wait for one year. Sell any one not performing good.
My bet on State Bank, BHEL, ONGC, NTPC, Reliance.

Where can I find a great FREE website that teaches stock market Trading and Investing?

Monday Sep 14, 2009

It could be anything from stock market trading to Futures and Options or even Forex. Could be Day-trading, Online-trading, etc. Please feel free to list as many websites as you might know about – as long as they are FREE. Also, any good book suggestions and/or tips?

First of all – you should focus your learning on one or the other. I’m a trader myself and trading and investing are two totally different things.

There is plenty to learn in both arenas but it is important to first recognize what your overall goal is.

Are you trying to make a living out of it? Trying to get rich? Trying to get better returns over the long term?

From there you can decide wihch vehicle to invest/trade with that best fits your goals.

How to calculate options trading profit and loss?

Monday Sep 14, 2009

Example: (Hypothetical) I created a position on a stock or commodity options market, and have a position of (bought) 20 Call Options with strike price of 100 USD and I paid the premium of 10 USD. If the next day the premium fell to 8 USD and the underlying price fell to 95 USD, how much Loss/Gain did i make?

(10-8) * 20 = 40. The other data is just for figuring out how much the options worth.

How do we find out who did the suspected "insider trading" (put options) that happened right before 9/11?

Monday Sep 14, 2009

I’m talking about the extremely unusual levels of put options during the few days leading up to 9/11, placed on United Airlines, American Airlines, Morgan Stanley and other corporations hurt by the attack?

Will that information ever be made public?

Have the investors come forward to claim their prizes yet?

I found out about it watching some documentaries and researching what they said. I had a friend who had access to the information of that day and i saw it myself about it.

Ive also seen it during the testimonies on c-span for the 9-11 commission, so its possible its public but many people wont believe it.

I’m sure there’s a way they can get there money and it not be public, but I’m not sure tho
